The Directorate General of Health Science (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will probably start UG Counseling 2021 tentatively in the first week of October 2021 and the exam will be held on the 12th of September 2021. The counselling for NEET 2021 will be conducted online by the Directorate General Health of National Science. The NEET counselling process became more complicated after it was merged with AIIMS and JIPMER. Only the students who will qualify NEET 2021 exam will be eligible for the NEET Counselling 2021.
The NEET AIQ counselling is conducted in two rounds by DGHS. It is important for the candidates to note that after the completion of the second round of the NEET Counseling 2021, vacant seats will be transferred to the respective state quota. The seats which are left vacant in the AIQ quota of deemed universities, Central Universities/ ECIC college will be filled in the mop-up round of the NEET 2021 counselling. The seats that still are left will be filed in the institutional round/stray round of NEET counselling.
Hence, the candidates must have sufficient knowledge of NEET 2021 counselling process. The National Testing Agency will organize the NEET 2021 exam in offline mode in almost 155 cities throughout the country.

NEET 2021 Counselling Procedure
Below we have mentioned the complete procedure to take part in the NEET 2021 counselling:
Registration:
First of all candidates have to do the registration by login to the website.
Without doing registration, candidates are not be able to fill the college and course choice.
On completing the registration process, a unique User ID & Password is generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number.
With the help of generated user ID and password, candidate will be able to proceed for further process.
Submission of Choice & Locking:
In this step candidates have to fill the choices of course and colleges according their preferences.
After this, candidates have to click on ‘Save’ button to lock their filled choices.
Without saving the filled choices, the choices are not be considered as locked choices.
So, candidates are advised not to forget to lock the preferences.
Seat Allotment Result:
Within a few days of the choice locking, the seat allotment result has been declared by the authority.
Candidates can view the allotment result.
Candidates receive a SMS or email regarding allotment of course & college.
The seats are allotted as per the candidate’s filled choices.
Modify and Lock:
The candidates those not satisfy with the allotted seats can modify the choices.
Candidates have to login on the official website with their login credentials and modify the choices.
After modification, candidates have to lock the choices again.
Reporting to Allotted College:
When the seats are allotted to the candidates, they have to report the allotted college to confirm the seat.
Candidates have to pay the initial fee to confirm the seat and should complete the admission formalities.
In case the candidate will reach the allotted colleges after the given time period, then the seat will be transferred automatically to the next candidate.
Second Round of Counselling:
If any candidate will not satisfy with the allotted seats, they can proceed for the next round of counselling.
Candidates those will be allotted seats in the second round of 15% All India Quota counseling are not allowed to vacant the seat.
NEET Counseling For 15% AIQ
The counselling for the 15% All India Quota seats will be managed by the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS), Government of India. The candidates who scored above 15% all India cut-off will be eligible to participate in NEET All India Counseling .
In 15% AIQ counselling, all state, medical, and dental colleges participate in offering admission to the medical aspirants on their campuses. Through this counselling, NEET candidates will get admission in medical colleges allocated anywhere in India.
These seats will be assigned on the basis of the All India Rank for the candidates. Candidates participating in the AIQ counselling can also participate in state quota counselling for the respective states.
NEET UG State Counseling
Apart from NEET Counseling for 15% AIQ, NEET UG State Counseling process for 85% state quota and other seats come under the range of states. Candidates may apply to their domicile states and merit list as per state rules and based on All India Rank are prepared by concerned counselling authorities.
The counselling for private medical colleges will also be conducted by the concerned state counseling authorities. The 85% state quota counselling will be conducted for the candidates in the state and medical colleges.
The details and schedule of counselling will be available on the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Medical College Directorate of States.

Admission to college in Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana will be done individually.
MCC is responsible for conducting NEET AIQ 15% counselling whereas NEET-UG State counseling for the rest 85% medical and dental seats is arranged by the respective states.
NEET Counseling Security Fee Refund
The NEET counseling security fee refund will be initiated by the authorities at the end of the counseling process. The security amount will be refunded back to the candidate respective institution adjusted with the annual fees if the seats are allocated to the candidates in NEET Counselling 2021 process.
If the seats are not allocated to the candidates throughout his counselling process, then his/her amount will be initiated to the same account which was given at the time of the registration. Hence, the candidate should keep their bank account and card active until the refund process is completed.
NEET Admission 2021
After completion of NEET centralized online counselling, candidates have to report the allotted college in the stipulated time.
Candidates can report the concerned colleges with the downloaded allotment letter. Candidates need to carry the required documents in original with one set of photocopy.
At the time of admission candidates also have to submit the admission fee to confirm the seat. If any candidate will find ineligible in later stage, his admission will be cancelled and his seat will be transferred to the next candidate.
